Industry City: Open Studios

Yesterday, Seth and I took a ride to Sunset Park to check out Industry City’s Open Studios event. Built in the late 19th century, Industry City makes up 6,000,000 square feet (yes, 6 million) of space across 9 industrial buildings.  In other words, it’s a ton of industrial space in NYC.   We entered the starting point at Building 2 where we were welcomed with yellow balloons,  a greeting team, a site map and excitement. 

 

Over 100 of Industry City’s tenants (the makers, artists and manufacturers) opened up their work spaces for the public to get a peek.  We got to visit SO many amazing businesses.  Here’s a photo dairy of our day:
